Project plan alterations

With our Christmas strategy described in the previous post, this means a few changes to the original project plan. The implementation was originally due to commence on Monday 27th November 2006, but we were up to our noses with the e-commerce project for EL631 until the end of term, so we had to put our project on hold until the Christmas holidays. This meant that we had to set new targets; we aim to complete most of our designing by the first day of the spring term (Monday 8th January 2007) so that we can start implementing early week 13. Our schedule has therefore been pushed forward 6 weeks, but we should be fine.

Chaucer Technology School have agreed to allow us to capture pictures and footage of their girls' football club. This will take place during February as this is when the club next has training sessions and matches.

Christmas Work

I've had a look at the following websites:
http://www.cc4g.net/demo/coursewaredemoflash.html
http://www.dressupgames.com/
http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/smile/
http://www.flixster.com/

that my cousin (aged 11) uses, and she also said girls of her age are very much into fashion trends, music and fav colours include purple pink blue, yellow. From our design requirement feedback and the above - I think we need to make our designs trendier. I'm going to have a go at designing menu images in photoshop and re-designing the navigator character to make it 'cool' and 'hip'.

Also, we should look into how we go about implementing games in Flash - I will have a go at buliding Pong, Subuteo and the Quiz.

TARGET for beginning of next term - have all hand drawn and flash prototyped designs completed and core functionality of games/quiz completed.
